Axonn’s Commercial Logistics Technology Tracks Supplies in Iraq & Kuwait
(New Orleans, LA) March 29, 2005: Convoys carrying perishable supplies from Kuwaiti ports are tracked to Baghdad and beyond using the AXTracker GPS tracking device from Axonn. AXTracker is a battery operated mobile tracking device that is delivered ready-to-go, installs in minutes and operates with the Globalstar Simplex Data Service. More than 2500 AXTrackers have been in daily use in support of logistics resupply throughout Iraq and Kuwait over the last six months.
Axonn’s AXTracker is available through a network of value-added resellers. The bulk of units operating in the Middle East are serviced through AeroAstro of Ashburn, VA. AeroAstro, www.sensservice.com, provides its end-users access to information about their assets via a user-friendly web interface. Aside from location monitoring, AXTracker includes up to four alarm contact closure inputs for monitoring doors, engine run-time, and other discrete inputs. AXTracker’s remote temperature sensing feature, using programmable sensors that can monitor temperatures at one or two locations, is particularly useful for refrigerated containers carrying perishable supplies.
