Axonn products transmit real-time GPS location and other formatted data over the Globalstar satellite system — a constellation of 40 low earth-orbiting (LEO) satellites that relay messages to 10 simplex ground stations. These gateways then forward the data to the Globalstar Network and then to the Internet, giving your customers the ability to monitor location and other operational activities through the device’s configurable door, motion, cargo and temperature sensors.

Globalstar has offered simplex data in the U.S. and Canada since 2003, and throughout Europe, the Middle East and across the north Atlantic region since early 2005. Globalstar also recently announced expansion of simplex data coverage into parts of South America, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Simplex data is one of the fastest growing company segments with the number of Globalstar simplex subscribers increasing in 2005 by approximately 300%.
